Overview :

The MCP7Y40-N001 is a passive direct-attach copper breakout cable used to split an 800 Gb/s InfiniBand NDR link into four 200 Gb/s connections. It enables high-density switch-to-adapter connectivity for Quantum-2 switches, ConnectX-7 adapters, and BlueField DPUs. The cable uses an OSFP finned-top connector on the switch side and four QSFP112 connectors on the device side for efficient airflow and thermal performance. It is deployed in high-performance computing and AI fabrics where short-reach, low-latency copper interconnects are required.
