The StarTech I43-SERIAL-ETHERNET is an industrial serial device server that enables remote access and control of legacy serial equipment over IP networks. It converts four RS-232/422/485 serial ports into Ethernet-connected endpoints, allowing devices such as PLCs, barcode scanners, sensors, and industrial controllers to be integrated into modern TCP/IP infrastructure.

It supports multiple serial protocols (RS-232, RS-422, RS-485) with configurable operation modes and provides stable data transmission for industrial automation, remote monitoring, and control systems. The unit is designed for DIN-rail or wall mounting, with a rugged enclosure suitable for control cabinets and harsh environments.

Deployment fits industrial IoT gateways, factory automation, and distributed serial device management. Not intended for high-bandwidth data transport or applications requiring native USB or modern interface standards.
