Logitech 952-000195 Active USB 3.1 Gen 2 Cable (5m)
Overview :
The Logitech 952-000195 is an active USB-C to USB-C cable designed to streamline connectivity in modern meeting rooms. It specifically addresses the need for a simple, single-cable Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) solution for video conferencing systems. This cable is primarily intended for use in huddle rooms and small to medium-sized collaboration spaces equipped with compatible Logitech hardware like the MeetUp 2 or Rally Board 65. It solves the common issue of connecting a laptop for a meeting, which often requires multiple adapters for video and data. This 5-meter (16.4 ft) cable leverages USB 3.1 Gen 2 technology to support high-speed data transfer and DisplayPort Alt Mode. The inclusion of DisplayPort Alt Mode is the core technical advantage, allowing a single USB-C connection to transmit video, and data simultaneously. This eliminates the need for a separate HDMI cable or adapter, reducing clutter and simplifying the process for users to start a meeting quickly by just plugging in one cable to their laptop. Engineered for professional environments, the 952-000195 provides the necessary length for flexible room configurations. Its active components ensure signal integrity over the 5-meter distance, which is critical for reliable performance. The cable is a key infrastructure component for IT teams aiming to create user-friendly and efficient meeting spaces, reducing setup time and potential points of failure associated with using multiple cables and adapters. It includes a magnetic dock to keep the connector secured and easily accessible.
