StarTech NOTECONS02-VGA-MDP is a portable laptop-based crash cart adapter for IT technicians and data center engineers. It converts a laptop into a diagnostic console for headless servers, rack equipment, ATMs, kiosks, and other systems by providing USB keyboard/mouse and video access. The unit includes integrated USB, VGA and a Mini DisplayPort adapter for versatile server connection. No host-side software installation is required, enabling immediate BIOS/UEFI-level control.
This adapter supports standard VGA video up to 1920×1200 out of the box and can connect to systems with Mini DisplayPort video via the included MDP-to-VGA adapter. It's self-powered from the connected USB port, eliminating the need for external power. Ideal for remote troubleshooting, file transfer, and console interaction; NOT intended for high-performance graphics or multi-display deployments.
