Overview :

The APC AR7708 is a rack airflow management accessory designed for APC NetShelter SX server rack enclosures. It is used by data center engineers and infrastructure teams to improve airflow control inside rack cabinets by preventing warm exhaust air from recirculating back to the front intake area of installed equipment. This helps maintain consistent cooling performance for servers, storage systems, and network equipment operating in high-density racks.

The AR7708 kit works by closing the vertical gaps between the mounting rails and side panels of a NetShelter enclosure. These gaps can allow hot exhaust air from the rear of rack equipment to loop back toward the front of the cabinet, reducing cooling efficiency and increasing the risk of thermal hotspots. Installing the airflow prevention strips forces air to move in the intended front-to-rear cooling path, supporting standard hot-aisle / cold-aisle data center airflow strategies.

This accessory is designed specifically for APC NetShelter SX rack enclosures and includes components compatible with 42U and 48U cabinet heights. It installs vertically along the internal sides of the rack frame and requires minimal tools, making it suitable for both new rack deployments and airflow optimization in existing installations.
