The Opengear OM2224-24E-L is a 1U rack-mounted console server designed for secure out-of-band (OOB) infrastructure management in enterprise networks, data centers, and edge deployments. It combines 24 software-selectable serial console ports with a managed 24-port Gigabit Ethernet switch, enabling centralized management of network, server, and security infrastructure.
Powered by a 1.4 GHz quad-core x86 processor with 8 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage, the appliance supports Docker containers, TPM 2.0, Smart OOB', and Python-based automation. The integrated Global 4G LTE modem provides resilient remote access during primary network outages, making it suitable for business continuity and remote operations.
The OM2224-24E-L is intended for rack-mounted deployments requiring secure remote console access, Ethernet management, and automated infrastructure recovery. It is compatible with environments using Opengear Lighthouse and Smart OOB management. It should not be selected where native 10GbE uplinks are required, as the 10GbE capability is available only on the OM2224-24E-10G variants.
