Overview :

The HP C8015A is a dedicated cleaning cartridge designed for enterprise DAT-160 (DDS-6) tape drives. It is used by IT infrastructure and backup engineers to remove debris and head-residue buildup from the tape path, helping to maintain reliable read/write performance. The cartridge supports up to 50 cleaning cycles, enabling periodic preventive maintenance within data-centres, archives and backup libraries. It fits into standard DAT-160 or DDS-6 compatible mechanisms, making it suitable for server rooms, edge-backup systems and archive racks. The memory-track chip inside communicates with the drive to monitor usage and reduce risk of over-use or under-cleaning.
