Overview

The APC AR7580A is a vertical cable management accessory designed for structured cabling organization within 42U NetShelter SX rack enclosures that are 750 mm wide. Infrastructure engineers deploy this device to manage large volumes of copper patch cords and power cables in high-density server and network racks. By providing dedicated vertical routing channels along the rack frame, it prevents cable congestion around switches, patch panels, and power distribution equipment.

The cable manager spans the full 42U rack height and installs along the enclosure frame to provide continuous cable routing from the bottom to the top of the rack. Integrated slim cable fingers positioned at 1U intervals allow patch cords to enter and exit the vertical channel while maintaining organized separation between cable bundles. The design supports high cable density environments, with capacity for approximately 190–250 Cat6/Cat6A cables per section, making it suitable for racks with dense switch port utilization.

In data center and enterprise server room deployments, vertical cable management is essential for maintaining clear airflow pathways and reducing cable strain on equipment ports.
