Overview

The APC AR8715 is a horizontal rack-mounted cable management panel designed to organize and route structured cabling within 19-inch server and network racks. It is typically deployed by data center engineers and network administrators to maintain orderly cabling between patch panels, switches, and other rack-mounted devices. The panel helps protect cables from excessive bending, reduces congestion, and simplifies maintenance in high-density networking environments.

This unit occupies 1U of rack space and integrates molded cable fingers to separate and guide cables across the rack width. The panel allows horizontal routing of copper and fiber patch cords while maintaining bend radius compliance, which is critical for preserving cable integrity and signal performance. A front-facing cable channel provides easy access for technicians during installation or reconfiguration.

The AR8715 is deployed in server cabinets, telecommunications racks, and network closets, typically installed between patch panels and network switches. It creates organized pathways for patch cords, preventing them from drooping across device ports and maintaining front-to-back airflow. Properly installed, it contributes to predictable and serviceable cabling infrastructure.

A practical deployment example is a top-of-rack switch installation where multiple patch panels are mounted above the switch.
