Overview

The APC BR1500MS2 is a line-interactive UPS in tower form, rated at 1,500 VA / 900 W, built for backing up workstations, servers, networking gear, and home/office systems during power disturbances. It supplies a pure sine-wave output, which is more suitable for modern, sensitive electronics (active PFC PSUs, gaming rigs, NAS, etc.). The unit has Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) to correct voltage sags and surges without switching to battery, thereby extending battery life under fluctuating power conditions. In the event of a blackout, it switches over with an 8 ms typical (10 ms maximum) transfer time. It features 10 total outlets (6 battery-supported + 4 surge-only), 2 USB charging ports (Type-A and Type-C), and an LCD interface that displays real-time UPS status (load, battery levels, runtime). The UPS uses user-replaceable VRLA batteries, has built-in surge and data-line protection, and comes with a lifetime equipment protection guarantee ($500,000) according to its policy.
