The APC BE1050G3 is a standby uninterruptible power supply (UPS) providing battery‑assisted AC continuity and surge protection for desktops, networking equipment, storage devices, and other essential electronics during utility power disturbances. It’s installed by IT technicians, home office administrators, and small business support teams where managed shutdown capability and protection against voltage events are required.

Rated at 1050 VA / 600 W, this UPS uses passive standby topology with a stepped approximation to sine wave output. When mains power falls outside acceptable limits, the unit switches to battery support with typical transfer times under 6 ms, helping prevent data loss and unexpected shutdowns.

Outlets are segmented between six battery‑backup plus surge‑protected receptacles and two surge‑only receptacles, enabling critical loads to maintain runtime while non‑critical loads are protected against transient events without drawing on the battery.
