Overview

The APC AP4421A is a 1U rack Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) built for single-phase 230 V environments where you need failover between two sources for single-corded loads. It monitors two input feeds and automatically switches to the secondary source (in under ~10 ms) if the primary fails or goes out of range—keeping critical devices powered.

It includes two IEC C14 inlets for dual utility or UPS feeds and supplies power to 12 IEC C13 outlets, routing load seamlessly across sources. Integrated network capability allows remote monitoring over Web, SNMP, SSH, and APC’s management platform. It's ideal for racks housing servers, switches, or storage that lack dual power supplies but still need redundancy at the feed level.
