Overview

The APC AP4432A is a 2U rack-mount Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) designed for seamless power redundancy in single-phase 200/208 V systems. It detects utility power failure and switches load to a secondary power source (e.g., generator, UPS) in about 10 ms, minimizing downtime. It’s built for mid-to large racks where equipment uptime is critical—server clusters, storage arrays, or network edge infrastructure.It accepts dual L6-30 (30 A) input feeds and provides 16 IEC C13 + 2 IEC C19 outputs to supply connected gear. The ATS includes a field-replaceable network management card (NMC) for remote monitoring and control. You can monitor temperature/humidity, switch paths, view logs, and manage up to 32 ATS units under one IP. All this helps you enforce power path resilience without manually rewiring loads.In real deployments, use the AP4432A as a front-line switch between UPS and utility, or between redundant mains in data centers.
