Overview

The StarTech QUAD-M2-PCIE-CARD-B is a high-performance PCI Express expansion card designed to add up to four M.2 NVMe Solid State Drives (SSDs) to a desktop or server through a single PCIe x16 slot. This hardware is an ideal solution for data-intensive professionals, such as video editors, database administrators, and software developers, who require massive storage throughput and ultra-low latency for demanding local workloads.

This adapter utilizes PCIe bifurcation to provide dedicated bandwidth to each of the four SSDs. It is important to note that the host motherboard must support PCIe bifurcation (splitting the x16 slot into x4/x4/x4/x4 mode) to recognize all four drives.
