Detailed Specifications
Eaton P568FMM-20M-8K6 66 foot 20m 8K HDMI Active Optical Cable AOC
Overview
The Eaton P568FMM-20M-8K6 is a 20-meter HDMI 2.1 active optical cable (AOC) engineered for long-distance ultra-high-definition audio/video transmission in enterprise AV, digital signage, broadcast, and data-intensive display environments. It combines fiber optic signal transport with detachable HDMI and Micro-HDMI connectors for easier conduit routing and structured cabling deployments.
The cable supports up to 48 Gbps bandwidth with UHD 8K resolution at 60 Hz using 4:4:4 chroma subsampling. It also supports HDR, HDCP 2.3, eARC, VRR, ALLM, QFT, and Dolby surround audio for latency-sensitive display systems and high-refresh multimedia installations. Optical transmission minimizes EMI/RFI interference across longer cable runs where standard copper HDMI cables become unreliable.
Its detachable Micro-HDMI adapters simplify installation through one-inch conduit and tight infrastructure pathways commonly found in rack-to-display deployments, conference rooms, command centers, and commercial AV integration projects. The cable is directional and must be installed according to source/display labeling for proper signal operation.
This model is appropriate for fixed AV infrastructure requiring long-distance 8K transport without external repeaters. It is not intended for short-run desktop HDMI interconnects where passive copper cabling is sufficient.
