Overview

The Eaton U420F-10M is a 10-meter USB-C active optical cable (AOC) designed for high-bandwidth data and audio/video transmission over long distances where copper USB-C cabfles are unreliable or electrically limited. It is used in enterprise AV, data acquisition, industrial endpoints, and extended workstation deployments.

It supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 signaling up to 10 Gbps, enabling stable high-speed connectivity between USB-C hosts and peripherals such as storage devices, cameras, and display-adjacent systems. 

The cable uses fiber-based active optical construction, reducing signal degradation over distance while maintaining low-latency communication. It is designed for fixed installations where flexible routing is required across racks, ceilings, or equipment aisles.

Depending on variant configuration, it can support USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode video output (up to 8K/4K in compatible models) and power delivery (model-dependent). It is commonly deployed in professional AV, control rooms, and high-performance workstation extensions.
