Overview
The Eaton P580F3-10M-8K6 is a high-performance Tripp Lite Series DisplayPort Active Optical Cable (AOC) meticulously engineered for demanding audio/video applications that require uncompromised 8K resolution over extended distances. This robust 10-meter cable serves as an ideal solution for professionals designing advanced home theater systems, intricate digital signage networks, or secure server environments where source and display devices are located remotely. It effectively addresses the challenge of maintaining signal integrity and bandwidth for ultra-high-definition content, which is often a limitation with traditional copper cabling over similar lengths. Utilizing advanced fiber optic technology, this cable supports DisplayPort 1.4 bandwidths of 32.4 Gbps, facilitating stunning 8K UHD resolutions up to 7680 x 4320 at a smooth 60 Hz refresh rate. The fiber construction not only enables flawless transmission over 10 meters without latency or signal loss but also provides superior immunity to EMI/RFI line noise. This ensures a clean, stable audio/video signal, critical for sensitive professional or medical installations. Additionally, the cable is fully compatible with High Dynamic Range (HDR) video, offering a wider spectrum of vibrant colors, enhanced contrast, and brighter whites. Designed for versatile deployment, the P580F3-10M-8K6 features a CL3-rated PVC jacket, making it suitable and safe for in-wall installations in both residential and commercial settings. Its slimmer and more flexible profile compared to standard copper alternatives simplifies routing around corners and through confined spaces behind equipment. The cable draws power directly from the connected DisplayPort device, eliminating the need for an external power supply and streamlining installation. Gold-plated, latching DisplayPort male connectors on both ends ensure a secure, reliable connection, preventing accidental disconnections in critical setups.
