HPE P23348-001 Xilinx Alveo U50 Data Center Accelerator Card

Detailed Specifications

The HPE P23348-001 is a Xilinx Alveo U50 Data Center Accelerator Card designed for HPE ProLiant and Apollo servers. This specialized PCIe add-in card addresses the growing need for workload-specific acceleration in modern data centers, targeting computationally intensive tasks that benefit from offloading the main CPU. It is engineered for environments running complex algorithms in financial computing, machine learning inference, computational storage, and data analytics. Built on the Xilinx Ultrascale+ architecture, the Alveo U50 provides a significant performance uplift for specific applications. The card features 8GB of High-Bandwidth Memory (HBM), which delivers the necessary throughput for large datasets and eliminates memory bottlenecks common in high-performance computing. This direct memory access is crucial for real-time data processing and accelerating time-to-insight. With a low-profile form factor and a modest 75W power consumption, this accelerator card is designed for dense server deployments where power and cooling are primary considerations. Its passive cooling design integrates seamlessly into supported HPE server platforms, allowing for scalable performance enhancements without requiring a major infrastructure overhaul. Management is handled within the existing server ecosystem.
